Astro Chestnut Gelding, breeding unknown, 13.2 hh, 19 years old Astro has been there, done that. He has a sensible, calm temperament but is also willing to move forward freely and stay on cruise control. Monty
Brown Percheron x Warmblood Gelding, 16.2 hh, 12 years old
Monty is a gentle giant with an endearing goofy personality. Even though his size can seem intimidating, he is well mannered and safe to handle on the ground and in the saddle.

Pep
Red Roan Quarter Horse Gelding. 14 hh, 20 years old
With his unflappable temperament, kind nature and stocky build, Pep has taught many children and small adults to ride. He was a competitive games pony in his day! He has a slow and steady trot and canter, with more 'woah' than go. He likes to hold one foot up when eating yummy food out of a bucket and switch feet every few seconds.

Chestnut Arabian Mare, 15.2 hh, 18 years old
Sera (short for 'Seranita', pronounced 'Sarah') is a gentle lady who responds to a very light touch when handled and ridden. She is a good lunge lesson horse as well as a seasoned trail horse.

Mintie
White Donkey jenny, 11 hh, 25 years old
Until she came to live at Rosewood, Mintie spent her life as a pet, doing nothing much apart from eating (and she is still a bit chubby!) Now she is a sensible harness donkey, who likes to take things SLOW. She is happy to introduce people to harness driving as well as give rides to very small children. Don't worry, 25 is not old for a donkey - they live to about 40!
White Donkey jenny, 11 hh, 25 years old

Pitch was one of Lisel's star trick and liberty horses in his day. He is now retired from all strenuous work and quite deaf, but he still enjoys performing some of his easier tricks and movements. He is the ultimate schoolmaster for people wanting to learn about positive reinforcement from a fully trained horse.

Appaloosa Mare, 15 hh, 18 years old
Winnie is also an advanced clicker trained horse. A very sensitive and opinionated mare, she will let you know if anything is not to her liking! She is a good lunge lesson horse to introduce new movements and feel for more experienced riders. When on the lunge, she will stop instantly when asked, moderate the speed of her trot, perform walk-canter and canter-walk transitions, and maintain a round frame in self carriage. She is confirmed in all lateral work (renvers, travers, half pass, leg yield) and will sidepass over poles, manuevre through gates, walk over trail obstacles including the see saw, drag objects like poles and knows a few tricks such as yawning on cue, standing on pedestals with all four feet, self bridling, pushing balls and rolling drums/barrels and touching targets.
